The watch comes with a DD3255 movement, which is the only super clone 3255 in this industry and only used by VS currently. The latest version of THB Day-Date has a weight of over 190 grams, but the bracelet has been added with extra links to increase weight, so the bracelet is too long for a lot of people, if you do not have a big wrist, you need to remove a lot of links, that will be a waste of money. After all, among these watch makers, the Day-Date from THB has the most expensive prices.

QF, many people thought this is a new factory, actually it is owned by GM. QF Day-Date is a bit cheaper than the one from THB, they have 40mm and 36mm options. QF Day-Date is heavy because they use tungsten steel and also adds more links on the bracelet. Check the pictures of the QF Day-Date below, it is a 36mm Day-Date, the weight is 138.2 grams, yes, the 36mm model is lighter, but the 40mm Day-Date can achieve 184 grams. On the bracelet, there is a sticker with “QF Gain Weight” words. Day-Date Heavy Watch – which factory you should choose from?

Since the first heavy Rolex Day-Date from GM Factory, there have been a lot of watch factories making replicas of heavy Rolex Day-Date in recent two years, the competition in this field is crazy, every watch factory also claims that their Day-Date is the best one in the market, and the prices are more and more expensive. The following two pictures show you the Day-Date from THB factory. It has the bracelet that is the same length as that of GM V5, but THB Day-Date is about 195 grams, while GM V5 is about 186 grams. THB uses a super clone 3255 movement, which seems to become the main selling point, but I do not think there is a big difference between the GM 3255 and theirs.

Last, it is the Day-Date produced by CY. I totally not recommend this one, it is too expensive, I know THB already has a very high price, which is very close to that of Daytona, but the price of Day-Date made by CY is more expensive than THB, this is crazy. CY factory found a strange solution to gain weight, they make the links on the bracelet thicker, I measured the links, each is about 0.3mm thicker than the one on GM. This is not good.

My advice for beginner is just choosing the V3 Day-Date from GM, with clone ETA 2836 movement. It has a more reasonable price, GM has been in this industry for years, the finish is acceptable.

A Rolex Day-Date from GS Factory

Several months ago, GM announced their V2 edition of Rolex Day-Date 40mm, which is heavier than the V1 and closer to genuine in weight, just about one month ago, GS factory also published this type of Rolex Day-Date with similar weight to genuine, it is the first time for GS factory to make 40mm Rolex Day-Date, they only made ladies Datejust before, I do not know why they started to make the Day-Date, perhaps they saw the big profit which GM factory has earned from the better V2 Rolex Day-Date, now both factories form a direct competition, maybe you will ask me which one is better, I will tell you both have a similar quality, but I still suggest you buy from GM factory, because it is one of the earliest watch manufacturers to make the best replica Day-Date.

There are two movement options for the Day-Date, one is 2836, the other is 3255, it is said that the weight of the replica with 2836 movement is about 10 grams heavier than the one with 3255 movement. The other details such as case material, bracelet material and finish are the same.
